Training Cats and Dogs is an evolving program put together by Sharon Mear for teaching animals. Her methods reinforce good behavior and ignore bad behavior. When a dog does something and gets pleasure from it, he/she will do it again. The basic technique helps to shape and modify an animal's behavior. Giving attention, praise, treats and play are all forms of positive reinforcement. Praise, practice and patience are encouraged.
